Commie Jokes

with 3 comments

I still find Communist jokes amusing.  Perhaps it’s because I don’t remember a time when the communists were really a threat.  To me, they’re basically cartoon villains–menacing but ultimately harmless–like Gargamel to the Smurfs or Cobra Commander to G.I. Joe: trying to do harm, but always thwarted.  All I really remember of the communists is their demise, not the real threat they once represented.  So to me commies are funny.

I was excited, then, to read The Times of London’s Top Ten Communist Jokes.  You can find them here.

My favorite joke, though, didn’t make the cut.  I found it in the comments:

Question: What’s the difference between Capitalism and Communism?

Answer: Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man, whereas Communism is exactly the reverse

  1. You created a communism tag for your blog? How often do you plan on using that one?
